Specialty steel demand gives ATI rosier view

Firm demand for specialty steel products has prompted Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI), Pittsburgh, to brighten its third-quarter earnings outlook.
The stainless and specialty steelmaker estimates that third-quarter 2005 earnings will be in a range of 84 to 88 cents a share compared with a Thomson First Call analysts range of 68 to 83 cents....
