Idled steel sites awarded $8M for redevelopment

Two brownfield sites near Pittsburgh idled by the steel industry's collapse more than 20 years ago have moved a step closer to redevelopment with the award of $8 million in federal loans and grants.
Allegheny County received the funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to redevelop the City Center of Duquesne and the Industrial Center of McKeesport, two cities just outside Pittsburgh.....
