Tower opening plant in Germany to make DaimlerChrysler doors

Struggling components maker Tower Automotive Inc., Novi, Mich., will begin production early next year in a newly opened body-in-white assembly manufacturing plant in Duisburg, Germany, built primarily to serve DaimlerChrysler AG.
Initial production at the plant will include the front and double cabin door assemblies for the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter light truck, executives said. The plant will employ 100....
