U.S. exports of nonferrous scrap rebounded in August to the highest level in three months, although not quite a record.
Nickel reached its highest monthly level of 2005, but the year-to-date total was off 9 percent from the first eight months of last year. Used aluminum beverage can scrap, rarely above 900 short tons a month until May, continued to hover above 1,500 tons.....
