AK ups flat roll, adds energy to mix

AK Steel Corp., Middletown, Ohio, plans to increase surcharges on flat-rolled and electrical steel products in November and also will add an energy surcharge to its stainless steel products.
The company has told its carbon flat-rolled steel customers that a $193-a-ton surcharge will be added to invoices for products shipped in November, a $39 increase from the October surcharge. The company also told its electrical steel customers that....
