WCI awaiting court nod on mailing to creditors

The judge handling WCI Steel Inc.'s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case is expected to approve this week disclosure statements to be mailed to creditors that could set the stage for a reorganization of the steelmaker.
Representatives of WCI, Warren, Ohio, and parent company Renco Group Inc., New York, met with the company's noteholders Friday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio, a WCI spokesman said. Both sides hashed out disclosure statements that were....
