Vekselberg move against VSMPO said thrown out by Cypriot court

An attempt by metals and oil magnate Viktor Vekselberg to gain control of Russian titanium producer VSMPO-Avisma Corp. has been thwarted by a Cypriot judge.

Nicosia District Court in Cyprus dismissed an application brought by Lamane Trading Corp., a British Virgin Island-registered company controlled by Vekselberg's Renova Group, against VSMPO's shareholders, VSMPO said Wednesday.....
