Mueller logs mixed quarterly, 9-month results

Higher sales and prices helped U.S. copper and brass products manufacturer Mueller Industries Inc. log a 30-percent gain in third quarter earnings, though it failed to prop up the Memphis, Tenn.,-based company's nine-month results.
