Trimet drops offer for Hamburg aluminum smelter

Trimet Aluminium AG, Essen, Germany, has withdrawn a bid for Hamburger Aluminium-Werk GmbH's smelter in Hamburg, Germany, a company executive said.
Trimet, a German aluminum producer and trader, pulled out of the deal after learning that one of the conditions of the sale was a guarantee to sell slab at discounted prices....
