License expirations threaten scrap imports

Indian imports of plastic scrap could be cut in half if the Indian government does not renew import licenses, according to Surendra Borad, managing director of Gemini Corp. NV.
Thirty companies have licenses to import plastic scrap into the country; 20 were set to expire this week. But India's ministries of industry and environment, which are in charge of licensing, have yet to indicate whether or not they will renew....
