Brazil mining magnate plans pelletizing plant

Brazilian mining magnate Eike Batista is seeking the support of Rio de Janeiro state for a new export-oriented iron ore pelletizing plant to be located at São João da Barra, sources close to the state governor said.
The capacity of the pellet plant hasn't yet been announced, but it would start up in 2008 in an investment totalling $1.2 billion, which will also include the construction of port facilities at São João da Barra and an iron ore slurry pipe to bring ore from mines in Minas Gerais state, the sources said.....
