Official sees common ground for groups to build e-cycling model

The prevailing gridlock over how to structure U.S. electronics recycling might be easing, according to Marc Pearl, executive director of the Consumer Electronics Retailers Coalition.

Pearl said there might be enough overlap in preferences for a shared perspective to be worked out among his group, the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) and the International Association of Electronics Recyclers.

"Retailers and recyclers both have the same interests in getting the products into the hands of qualified, experienced recyclers," Pearl said.....
