Appeal court upholds rulings in Stelco case

A Canadian court has removed another barrier in the road to a restructured Stelco Inc.
The Ontario Court of Appeal late last week dismissed a bid by a group of bondholders to overturn Oct. 4 orders issued by Justice James Farley of the Superior Court of Ontario related to Stelco's restructuring plan.
Those orders authorized Stelco, among other things, to enter into agreements with the province of Ontario, elements of the United Steelworkers union and Tricap Management LLC that provide the basis for the company's restructuring.....
