China, India help lift US zinc exports in August

Stronger demand from the Far East boosted U.S. exports of zinc scrap in August by a third compared with the previous month.

Shipments to offshore buyers climbed to 5,320 short tons in August, according to the latest figures from the U.S. Commerce Department, up from 4,001 tons in July and the third month in a row that exports of the galvanizing metal have risen.....
