Cost pressure pumps up price of A380.1 alloy

The price of A380.1 aluminum alloy has strengthened recently as rising energy, scrap and transportation costs have forced suppliers to raise tags.

Industry sources said A380.1 is selling at about 87 cents a pound currently, with one die-caster saying he could get it "easily" for 85 cents a pound and one supplier saying he'd done business at 88 to 88.5 cents a pound.....
