Turkish ferrous scrap views blur as buyers hold out for price dips

The Turkish ferrous scrap market is quiet after the Muslim Eid holiday as steelmakers hold out for lower prices.

Turkish steel mills were looking to buy scrap in western Europe at around $190 to $195 a tonne f.o.b. last week. That is $10 to $15 a ton less than the $205-a-tonne offers they received recently from western European exporters for a 60-40 mix of No. 1 and No. 2 heavy-melting steel scrap.....
