China to revamp secondary metals industry

China is likely to introduce minimum size requirements for new secondary metal smelters as it seeks to consolidate the industry, a leading industry executive said.
"The government has finally realized that there are too many small companies who are disturbing the market and creating environmental problems, so when they approve a new project it will need to be of a minimum size," said Tony Huang, vice chairman of the China Nonferrous Metals Association....
