CIS strip price drop attributed to Asian influx

Carbon strip export prices from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have fallen $30 a tonne in the past three weeks, with many traders blaming increased shipments from East Asian countries.Export prices for hot-rolled coil from CIS countries are now $360 to $390 a tonne, f.o.b.
