India opens ports to some ferrous scrap imports

The Indian government has cleared several shipments of imported ferrous scrap for delivery to the nation's ports after several companies said their import certificates had been issued before the country's new inspection rules were put in place.Notices issued by the Indian Ministry of Finance Sept. 15 and Oct. 5 banned imports of ferrous scrap that had received clearances from seven inspection companies.....
