Severstal mulling move into foreign markets

Russia's JSC Severstal will consider a U.S. or European share offering when it completes a restructuring plan.
Severstal has no immediate intention of following Novolipetsk Iron & Steel Corp., Moscow, by launching a foreign initial public offering (IPO), but it could be part of its longer-term strategy, Andrei Laptev, head of the Cherepovets-based company's strategic planning, told delegates at the third Steel Strategies Europe Conference co-sponsored by World Steel Dynamics and AMM sister....
