Cobalt cathode offerings idled as DNSC awaits military's 'go'

The U.S. Defense National Stockpile Center (DNSC) is awaiting word from the military on whether it can release nearly 3.3 million pounds of high-purity cobalt cathode into the market.
The DNSC's 2006 annual materials plan calls for the sale of the 4.4 million pounds of cobalt remaining in its storage facilities around the nation. However, the military put the brakes on the lion's share of that-nearly 3.3 million....
