Alcan set to shut aluminum cast plate facility in California Jan. 21

Alcan Inc. will close its Vernon, Calif., aluminum cast plate facility Jan. 21, 2006, the Montreal-based company said Tuesday.
Alcan said it is talking to possible buyers of both the equipment and the real estate.
