Alsa plans US aluminum slag processing plant

Alsa Technologies GmbH, a unit of industrial holding company Agor AG of Köln, Germany, expects to open an aluminum salt slag processing plant in the United States within the next three to five years.
The company will target Tennessee and Kentucky, where there is a concentration of smelters that would supply the plant with salt slag.
"It's at an early stage. We are looking at the market and talking to companies there. It would be my desire to have a plant up and running in three to five years," Michael Romberg, Agor's general manager, said on the sidelines of the 13th International Recycled Aluminium Conference in Cologne, Germany, sponsored by AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin.....
