EPA slaps Del's Metal over clean-air regulations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has cited Del's Metal Co. for alleged clean-air violations at the company's Rock Island, Ill., secondary aluminum production facilities.

EPA Region 5 said in a statement that it has charged Del's Metal with failing to test its sweat furnace emissions for dioxins and furans or installing an afterburner to destroy those compounds....
