Nickel shows renewed life as LME metals rise

Nickel showed signs of life on the London Metal Exchange, with the previously foundering metal rising more than 3 percent Monday to reach its highest level since Oct. 3.

Three-month nickel ended Monday's final kerb session at $13,350/$13,375 per tonne (bid/ask) after reaching $13,520/$13,525 at the close of the second ring. The price had fallen as low as $12,650 per tonne last week before rebounding late Friday to $13,200 thanks to a brief short-covering spike.....
