Chinese exchanges awaiting nod on steel futures contract launch

The Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) and the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) are still waiting for government approval to launch steel futures contracts, almost a year after making initial applications.
"We have not been notified of the latest progress on the issue by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, so we have no idea whether the State Council has given its approval," a DCE executive said.....
