Big River fishing for buyer but gets no bites

Executives of Big River Zinc Corp. are working to keep their plant in Sauget, Ill., open, but so far their efforts haven't had much success.
A local newspaper pegged U.S. Steel Corp. as a potential suitor, but the company was quick to respond with word that the big Pittsburgh-based steelmaker was not interested and had not been asked to consider making an offer for the troubled zinc smelter.....
