Talk of change to base price seen complicating zinc mating season

The zinc concentrate mating season could be complicated this year by a change to the base price, which the treatment charges (TCs) are built on, from last year's $1,000 a tonne.

Discussions on the base price stem from the fact that current zinc prices are north of $1,800 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange. At least one source said he expects the base price to be adjusted accordingly.....
