Able UK fails to acquire shipyard in Scotland

Able UK Ltd., the British shipbreaking company that has a contract to dismantle 13 U.S. "Ghost Fleet" vessels, has failed in an attempt to buy an outdated shipyard in Scotland.
The company submitted a bid for the Nigg shipyard facility near Inverness, Scotland, which it reportedly planned to use to decommission North Sea oil platforms. But the owner, KBR Caledonian, a unit of Houston-based services contractor Halliburton Co.,....
