Novelis plans to add cold-rolling mill capacity at Brazil operations

Aluminum rolled products producer Novelis Inc. is ready to expand the cold-rolling mill capacity at its Pindamonhangaba plant in Brazil's Sao Paulo state as soon as local economic conditions improve, said Roberto Rocha, director of operations for Novelis do Brasil Ltda.
Novelis intends to add a third cold-rolling mill at the plant, which specializes in body stock and ends for beverage cans, and increase casting capacity through an expansion that could cost as much as $150 million.....
