SDI ups 4th-qtr. earnings view

Stronger steel market conditions in the second half of this year have prompted Steel Dynamics Inc., Fort Wayne, Ind., to raise its earnings expectations for the fourth quarter.

Citing improvement in several market sectors and at several of its divisions, the company said Friday it expects fully diluted earnings to be in a range of $1.20 to $1.25 per share during the fourth quarter, up an average of 21.3 percent....
