Three Ilva employees, student win IISI virtual steelmaking challenge

Three employees of Riva-Ilva SpA, Milan, Italy, and a student from the University of Leoben in Austria have been named the winners of the International Iron and Steel Institute's first virtual steelmaking challenge.
Brussels-based IISI said the challenge was based on the "secondary steelmaking module," one of several steelmaking simulations that form part of the award-winning steeluniversity.org Web site. The team from Riva-Ilva won the industry challenge while the university challenge was won by Sebastian Michelic of the University of Leoben.....
