Lisbon Valley production hits another delay

Construction at Constellation Copper Corp.'s Lisbon Valley copper mine in San Juan County, Utah, has been delayed again, this time because of a labor shortage.

Construction of the electrowinning plant and solution tank farm at the new mine was scheduled to be completed in early January, but has now been pushed back by about a month because of an "acute shortage" of pipefitters in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Denver-based company said.

The reconstruction effort along the U.S. Gulf Coast has attracted many pipefitters to that region as companies offer good pay rates.....
