New Orleans eyes contractor to remove autos

New Orleans will soon choose a contractor to handle the removal of about 30,000 wrecked cars and trucks left by Hurricane Katrina on public property.
The work will probably cost the city about $10 million, according to an estimate from one bidder, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.
If city staffers' formal ratings determine the selection, Shaw Group Inc., Baton Rouge, La., will handle the project. A New Orleans firm, Henry Consulting, ranks next, followed by CH2M Hill of Englewood, Colo.....
