World copper balance shifts to deficit in September ICSG

The world refined copper balance shifted sharply into deficit in September, according to preliminary data from the International Copper Study Group (ICSG).

September's flip-flop to a 54,000-tonne deficit from a 75,000-tonne surplus in August was caused by increasing European demand as well as higher consumption in China and Japan, the ICSG said.....
