EMR signs 300 members to recycling network

European Metal Recycling Ltd. (EMR), Britain's largest scrap processor and exporter, has signed up 300 U.K. auto dismantlers for its vehicle recycling network.

EMR, headquartered in Warrington, England, has set up the network to comply with U.K. law under the European Union's end-of-life vehicle (ELV) directive, which requires networks to be operational by Jan. 1 and to achieve a recovery and reuse target of 85 percent of ELVs by weight.....
