Dofasco's income nearly quadruples in 3d qtr. Dofasco Inc., Hamilton, Ontario, said higher steel prices, a strong operating performance and robust steel demand contributed to record earnings in the third quarter.
The company posted net income of Canadian $115 million ($93.2 million), nearly quadruple the C$29.7 million ($24.3 million) recorded in the third quarter of last year, on sales that jumped 27 percent to $1.09 billion.....
