Copper TCs to settle at $80-$90/T Noranda

Treatment charges for copper concentrates will likely settle at around $80 or $90 a tonne next year, Noranda Inc.'s chief executive said Thursday.
Some current spot treatment charges are as high as $140 a tonne in China, Derek G. Pannell, Noranda's chief executive officer, said during a conference call announcing the company's third-quarter results.
Traders said recently that negotiations on treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) for annual contracts are currently between $90 a tonne/9 cents a pound and $100 a tonne/10 cents a pound.....
