Tax benefit, higher metals shipping volumes lift Olin's quarterly income

Olin Corp., Norwalk, Conn., Friday posted third-quarter net income that was triple the year-earlier quarter on sales that jumped 25.5 percent.
The company cited a favorable tax adjustment of $3 million and improvements in its metals and chlor alkali segments for the increase.....
