Arca posts $260,000 income on 22.6% sales gain in 3d qtr.

Third-quarter earnings rose sharply at Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc. (Arca) compared with a year earlier, helping to offset losses posted earlier this year.
The Minneapolis-based recycler posted net income of $260,000 for the three months ended Oct. 2, up from $41,000 a year earlier, on revenue that jumped 22.6 percent to more than $14.54 million from nearly $11.87 million in the same comparison.....
