City officials OK zoning change for Tri-State Iron to add shredder

City officials in Texarkana, Ark., have rezoned portions of Tri-State Iron & Metal Co.'s property, clearing the way for the scrap processor to add a shredder and reduce its rail transport problems.

"We're not trying to infringe on any markets," Tri-State owner Howard Glick said. "We need a shredder to condense material so we can fit more on the rail cars. Everyone is still having trouble getting cars....
