Imco shuts zinc oxide plant, sees growth slowing in 2005

Imco Recycling Inc. Wednesday said it has permanently closed its zinc oxide plant in Hillsboro, Ill., and shifted work previously done there to its operations in Clarksville and Millington, Tenn.
Imco, as expected, Wednesday reported a net loss for the third quarter, which it attributed to the bankruptcy filing of customer Intermet Corp. The red ink total came to $314,000, half the size of the loss Imco reported for the third quarter of 2003.....
