Copper shipments rise 14% in first 9 months

Service center shipments of copper and brass products in the first nine months of 2004 were up 14 percent from the comparable 2003 period, the Copper & Brass Servicenter Association said.

Shipments in September, however, were down 8.2 percent to 554,000 pounds from September 2003, according to a survey by the Wayne, Pa.,-based trade group.....
