Stelco Inc., Hamilton, Ontario, has received five offers for its plate mill, the sale of which is part of its overall restructuring plan to dispose of non-core assets and concentrate on its flat-rolled steel operations.Colin Osborne, senior vice president of strategy at the Canadian steelmaker, said Monday morning during a conference call with steel industry analysts that the company was in the process of evaluating the bids it received prior to last Friday's deadline.
