Japan aluminum smelters boost output, cite strong alloy demand

Continued strong growth in auto output has helped Japan's secondary aluminum smelters lift production by 5 percent during the April-to-September period to 507,416 tonnes.
According to the Japan Aluminum Alloy Refiners' Association (Jara), the results mark the first time in 13 years that output during the first half of a fiscal year has topped 500,000 tonnes. Shipments during....
