Lonmin said considering offer for Gwalia's tantalum holdings

London-listed platinum producer Lonmin Plc is considering a bid for the tantalum assets of bankrupt Australian gold and tantalum producer Sons of Gwalia Ltd., according to sources.
Lonmin, which produces platinum from its mines and refineries in South Africa, is thought to want to diversify its asset base and is believed to be assessing opportunities in other countries and other commodities.....
