Robichaud sees kinder, gentler cycles ahead

Rene Robichaud does not necessarily see the paradise of strong steel demand and short supplies lasting forever. But as chairman of NS Group Inc., Newport, Ky., he finds himself in a position to evaluate both sides of the supply-demand equation and has a pretty clear vision of what he sees.
"We expect high and volatile steel pricing for the rest of time," said Robichaud, keynote speaker at AMM's "Steel in the Sunbelt" conference in Houston. "Let's face it--if prices come down to the $200 level for hot bands, the world will be in calamity. I don't think that is likely to happen."....
