Aluminum export demand on upswing

U.S. exports of aluminum scrap set a record in September, as did the tonnage headed for China, including Hong Kong. The upswings weren't dramatic, but they did indicate that foreign demand is likely to remain robust.

September exports totaled 63,046 short tons, up 4 percent from 60,619 tons the previous month and 17.1 percent ahead of 53,821 tons in September last year.....
