Votorantim to buy Cajamarquilla zinc plant from Teck, Marubeni

Teck Cominco Ltd. and Marubeni Corp. have agreed to sell Refineria de Zinc de Cajamarquilla SA, which owns and operates the Cajamarquilla zinc refinery in Peru, to Brazil's Votorantim Metais.
Teck Cominco said it expects to receive cash proceeds of approximately $136 million after repaying $47 million of bank indebtedness related to Cajamarquilla. The Vancouver, British Columbia,-based company expects to record a pre-tax gain of approximately $7....
