WCI posts $57M in earnings for fiscal year

Reorganizing under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, WCI Steel Inc. earned $57 million in its fiscal 2004 and posted earnings of $16.2 million in October, according to monthly operating reports the company is required to file with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
WCI's fiscal year runs from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31.About 1,300 members of United Steelworkers union Local 1375 and about 350 salaried employees will receive profit-sharing checks as a result of the positive earnings.....
